Will Be Disappointed If India Doesn’t Win The WC Says Mohammad Azharuddin

“We have a very good team. I will be very disappointed if they don’t win.”

With the 2019 World Cup less than three weeks away, it is time to bring out the prediction sheets out and start marking the combinations of each of the ten teams. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is also done and dusted, thus the first focus in on the upcoming all-important 50-overs quadrennial event. Hosts England and two-time champions India are the two major contenders to win the prestigious title as predicted by most of the cricketing experts.

Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin is the latest name on the list to give his prediction. During a recent conversation, Azharuddin noted that India has a very good team for the upcoming showpiece event. He mentioned that he will be very much disappointed in case the Men in Blue fail to win the 2019 World Cup.

“We have a very good team. I will be very disappointed if they don’t win,” Mohammad Azharuddin was quoted as saying to PTI.

We have a very good chance

Azharuddin revealed that India has got some world-class bowlers in their ranks who can surely get the opposition out in any sort of conditions. He reckoned that they have a great team and thus, there is a good opportunity coming up to bring home one more World Cup title.

“We have a very good chance. We have a very good team. We have very good bowlers. Lot of people are saying if the wickets are favouring the bowlers, we will find it difficult. But even our bowlers can also get the opposition out. We have got world-class bowlers,” Azharuddin added.

While speaking on his prediction about the top four teams, the former Hyderabad cricketer stated, “I think so. India, I think are number one, second England, third Australia. Because, in cricket, you never know. Anything can happen. The team who plays well on a particular day, always wins. There are going to be upsets also, but hopefully not with our team.”
