World Cup is all about the massive play for the game covered with the rivalry especially in the ODI format. This is all about the in the lop-sided battle between West Indies and Bangladesh. The world is in the favour of Bangladesh according to the statistics that say that Bangladesh has won seven out of nine ODIs versus West Indies. Their status will be decided in the 23rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to be played in Tauton on Monday.
Bangladesh went for a tour to the Caribbean in 2018 where they suffered a massive blow in the tow Test series but they triumphed in the ODI and the T20Is with a 2-1 margin. You can’t just stick to one type of mindset
Not only this but the Bangladesh won all the three matches of an ODI tri-series in Ireland against West Indies and got the trophy for the team. Both the teams will be fighting the match in order to secure their positions for the semi-finals in the World Cup. “We have faced their main bowling attack, but we can’t relax because of that. We have to understand that it is a new game. In tournaments like this, you have to plan differently for each team. You can’t just stick to one type of mindset. We can’t expect it to be an easy win because of winning seven out of nine matches,” said Mortaza.
Hopefully we’ll play well
He further said that the match against West Indies is very important for the team. “I think it’s time to think about ourselves only. If you understand this tournament, obviously a few matches left but tomorrow’s a very important match for us, especially losing elsewhere. I would say especially losing a few points in the last three matches. Hopefully we’ll play well.”
