Chepauk Super Gillies likely Playing XI

Super Gillies made just one change last time out, as off-spinner B Arun made his first appearance of the season in place of slow-left-armer M Siddharth. The balance of the team remained the same, however, and that is unlikely to change in this game either. Hari Gopinath is one of the leading scorers in the competition so far, the 31-year-old has passed 50 in each of his last two innings – including 82 last time out. He has scored his runs quickly too, boasting a strike rate of 161.81 so far.

R Alexander started the tournament in top form, taking 3-11 in the first game and 5-9 in the second. He remains one of the leading wicket-takers so far, and has kept things tidy in the last two matches as well. Murugan Ashwin took 2-11 last time out with his leg-spin bowling, to move to five inexpensive wickets so far in this tournament. He previously played for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL, putting in some useful bowling performances.

Probable XI: Ganga Sridhar Raju, Hari Gopinath, Harish Kumar, Kaushik Gandhi (c), Uthirasamy Sasidev, Murugan Ashwin, A Aarif (wk), B Arun, Dev Rahul, R Alexander, G Periyaswamy.

VB Kanchi Veerans likely Playing XI

Kanchi Veerans were unchanged last time out and could be again after a dominant all-round win against TUTI Patriots. Rajagopal Sathish is in excellent all-round form, having taken seven wickets in four games so far and bludgeoned 107 runs too. He is yet to be dismissed and he has a strike rate of 205.76. His economy rate with the ball is good too – conceding just 5.42 runs per over – and he has taken five catches too.

Suresh Lokeshwar has only been needed to bat twice, but he has hit half-centuries on both occasions. He also took three catches behind the stumps in the win against Karaikudi Kaalai. Baba Aparajith claimed the man of the match award last time out after hitting eight fours and two sixes on his way to 76 not out from 48 balls. He now has 168 runs in four innings.

Probable XI: K Vishal Vaidhya, S Siddharth, R Sanjay Yadav, Baba Aparajith (c), Rajagopal Sathish, P Francis Rokins, Suresh Lokeshwar (wk), R Silimbarasan, NS Harish, Rangaraj Suthesh, Kannan Gowtham Thamarai.
