Sri Lankan Cricket has not had the best of times in the recent few years. Their performance across the three formats hasn’t been up to the mark in the recent while. However, things have been good for them in 2019 as Sri Lanka registered a historic Test series victory in South Africa and recently whitewashed Pakistan on their home soil 3-0 in the T20I series.
The Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lankan team achieved a landmark T20I series win against Pakistan as they won a T20I series with a scoreline of 3-0 for the first time. There are reports coming in at the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC) are set to make some changes in the national team’s support staff. As per news in Ceylon Today, former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee and former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes are being approached by Sri Lanka.
Brett Lee is reportedly being approached to become the bowling coach of the Lankan team. On the other hand, Jonty Rhodes could be appointed as the fielding coach. Rhodes has a wide experience of coaching Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians and has worked with a number of teams.
