We are pretty much settled

During a recent event, Indian limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma revealed that the combination of the national team is pretty settled. However, Rohit did mention that there are one or two spots which are still up for grabs. He stated that the final decision regarding the selections will be jointly taken by the captain, head coach and selectors.

“I think we are pretty much settled (side). There are a few spots (that are up for grabs) which everyone knows about. But that all depends on what the captain, coach and the selectors think about the combination, whether they want to go with an extra seamer or an extra middle-order batsman or an extra opening batsman or an extra spinner,” Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying during a recent event in Mumbai.

Rohit noted that it is very important to select the team in accordance with the conditions in England. The Indian opener also talked about his experience of playing in England during the 2018 series and revealed that the conditions were pretty dry at that time. He mentioned that if there are similar conditions as were in 2018, then they would have to include an extra spinner.
