I Had Severe Neck Pain And Had To Pull Out Says Harbhajan Singh

For the upcoming clash of the Chennai Super Kings against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the team will be without their veteran spinner, Harbhajan Singh as the bowler has suffered an injury that will make him sit out of the match. The absence of the player, Singh will be a big blow for the team since he is an integral part of the defending champions’ squad. He has been in good form since the start of this season and this is why the team tops the chart after winning 6 matches of the seven games they have played.

Harbhajan to miss the match against KKR owing to his neck pain

In the four matches, Singh has featured in; he has picked up a total of seven wickets as well as two Man of the Match awards. In the last match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he gave just 14 runs in the four overs he bowled while dismissing the dangerous Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla.

However he has to sit out of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders due to his neck injury as well as some family issues. He further said that he was ready to play against Rajasthan Royals too but had to skip the match owing to his neck pain. He further said that his wife and daughter are not well and so he will take care of them in Mumbai.

Both my wife and daughter are not keeping well. I am in Mumbai taking care of my family says Harbhajan

He said that he should have been in Jaipur, however he will miss the match owing to his personal reasons and injury. “I was supposed to play in Jaipur against Rajasthan Royals but in the morning of the game, I had severe neck pain and had to pull out,” he said. “Both my wife and daughter are not keeping well. I am in Mumbai taking care of my family. Once they get well, I will join the team back,” he added.

If everything is fine, he will be joining the team in their clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17. The in-form CSK squad will try to take their revenge of their lost against the KKR in the last season when the visitors were thrashed by the hosts by 6 wickets.
