Indian Team Is Going There Win The World Cup And Not Just Face One Team

India will be locking horns with their arch rivals in the ICC World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford in June 16. This is going to be one of the most watched events in the World Cup zone mainly after the Pulwama attack. India and Pakistan have met in the World Cup six times since 1992 while the Men In Blue parade wining every rime. The last India and Pakistan met were in the World Cup 2015 in Adelaide wherein India won by 76 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar has been a part of the World Cup five out six times and has been picked up as Man of the Match three times (1992, 2003 and 2011). The maestro further said that the clash of June 16 should not gather so much attention since the main goal of the team is to win the World Cup for the third time after 1983 and 2011.

India should be concerned about facing the entire World Cup than just one team

He further said about it, “Since this question has been coming over the years I will answer the same way. In 2003 the people started calculating and said that no matter what happens you should win against Pakistan. This generates excitement in the people but they should understand that Indian team is going there win the World Cup and not just face one team.”

He said that he wants the team to focus on the World Cup and not just one single match since that is of no use. “So let’s hope for the World Cup win rather than just one single match. You just have to go and play good quality cricket and stick to the basics so that the results will follow the process.”
