Hopes High, From Pandya For This World Cup 2019

“His good game in the IPL season and aiding Mumbai Indians in winning the title, spectators hope that Pandya replicate the same game in the World Cup as well.”

Hardik Pandya is no doubt in the mind of playing an immensely important World Cup for the team. He has adjusted well in the set-up and has rediscovered his lost zeal and hunger for scoring runs for the team. He had a terrific outing in the IPL 2019 season, ending his campaign with 402 runs in 16 games. He wasn’t only good with his at but also with the ball. He grabbed 14 wickets in his IPL outing while playing for Mumbai Indians. He was worthy enough of handling the pressure on the team and suited the balance as well. He was playing comfortable form of cricket while in the first warm-up match against New Zealand, handling the middle order of the team quite nicely. However, the start of the real tournament has added a major injury scare in terms of Hardik Pandya.

Pandya might take the role of a finisher in the World Cup 2019

Pandya generally plays at the number five position in the Indian team squad. He has the skills of a hard-hitting batsman and hits the ball at the various gaps on the field. He will be required to replicate his game as in the IPL season, earning the title of a great finisher post the completion of the World Cup 2019.  He will be playing role of a floater for the team.

Team India suffered a defeat against New Zealand in the first warmup match. The team has managed to take the long bus from London to Cardiff. The players were involved in a fun session where they managed to hit the wickets from a fixed distance. Shikhar Dhawan, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal had some troubles in hitting the stumps and had to go through a tough session.

Pandya might miss the second warmup match against Bangladesh

Then the focus was then shifted to the net session where Virat Kohli was the first one to start. Even Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar also had a good time in the nets. While Hardik Pandya was involved in the net session he rose for a delivery at a great pace and instead hit his left underarm Pandya went through the immense pain and left the practice session immediately. It was reported that he is fine however, not much was reported about it. It isn’t sure whether he would return for the practice match against Bangladesh or not and the team management can decide to rest him.
