Cricplex World Cup 2019

Everyone Is Going To Feel That Anticipation Of Playing The First Game Says Morgan

With the World Cup commencing its action in only two days, people are all gearing up and preparing to witness the ultimate battle. Talking about the teams in this case, the pressures and expectations of the fans is quite evident and mostly every team will be struggling to keep their pace in the tournament. Many cricketing legends went forth to pick their favorites in the team, however with the type of form every team is in, it is rather a tedious task to pick the winner of World Cup 2019.

England who is hosting the World Cup 2019 will start with the battle against South Africa on Thursday at the Oval. England who tops the ICC ODI Team Rankings won a recent home series by 4-0 against Pakistan however, they went forth to lose the warmup match against the defending champions Australia by 12 runs in Southampton on Saturday.

I will be encouraging guys to embrace it

Talking about the same, Eoin Morgan said that the team has been ready since last week. “We have felt ready the last week or so, even if we didn’t play these warm-up games,” said Morgan.

“As a whole I was very happy with the preparation. When you play as convincingly as that it builds confidence in the hard work you’ve done both in training and in the game and the other side of it is that it gives us the afternoon and evening to switch off — not playing another close game against a strong side.”

He said that England should feel happy to face South Africa first up in the World Cup. “Everyone is going to feel that anticipation and excitement of playing the first game and it will be different than any other day and I will be encouraging guys to embrace it,” says Morgan.

It is a long tournament with a lot of games so I expect we will mix and match

England who was worrying whether the fast bowler Mark Wood will be fit after his left ankle injury but he has been passed fit. Morgan said, “It’s the best possible news with both of them,” said Morgan. “With Woody being a fast bowler it’s inevitable we would have injuries but to come back with the scan as clear as it could be is great, so we are all ready.”

England has a new team of bowlers including the likes of Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood. All England has to do now is prepare for the first attack. “It is a long tournament with a lot of games so I expect we will mix and match,” concluded Morgan.
