After suffering a convincing loss in the second T20I match, the Virat Kohli-led Indian team came back fighting in the series decider eclipsing the West Indies team by 67 runs. Indian captain Virat Kohli was adjudged the Player of the Series for his stunning tally of 183 runs in the three-match T20I series while KL Rahul was named the Man of the Match for his brilliant 91-run innings. Both Rahul and Kohli have also entered the top 10 list of the ICC T20I batters’ Rankings.
Rahul leapfrogged Windies’ opener Evin Lewis to claim the sixth position in the ICC T20I rankings for the batsmen. Kohli also stormed to 10th position in the latest released ICC rankings. Despite his amazing innings of 71 runs in the third and final T20I match against the Windies team, Rohit Sharma slipped to the ninth spot on the list, while Pakistan’s premier batsman Babar Azam continued at the top of the table.
On the other hand, the India-West Indies T20I series was very much tough for the bowlers as the conditions in each of the games supported the batters a lot more in comparison.
