One of the greatest legends of the game have come together and will be contributing towards raising awareness about road safety in India. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and elected to bowl first. West Indies Legends’ opener Daren Ganga came out in a pretty aggressive mood as he smashed 32 runs off 24 balls that included 5 cracking boundaries. Brian Lara too turned the clock back with few remarkable shots before Irfan Pathan trapped him with a slower delivery.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul played an excellent knock of 61 runs off 41 balls that consisted of 6 fours and 2 sixes that helps West Indies reach a total of 150 for 8 in 20 overs. For India, the troika of Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and Pragyan Ojha finished with two wickets each.
In the second innings, the fans got to witness the iconic pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag once again open the innings. Tendulkar unlike him played in an aggressive fashion while Sehwag looked much patient and played the role of a second-fiddle. Tendulkar scored 36 runs off 29 balls that included 7 classy fours. The legendary opening duo added a remarkable partnership of 83 runs that provided India Legends a solid foundation at the top.
At the other end, Sehwag was looking pretty composed as he smashed a wonderful half-century. Carl Hooper tried to delay the inevitable by taking a couple of quick wickets towards the fag end of the innings. But in the end, Yuvraj Singh entertained the Wankhede crowd by hitting an amazing six straight down the ground. Sehwag fittingly smashed the winning runs as India Legends completed the run-chase with 10 balls to spare.
