SLC's vice president K. Mathivanan resigns

He has sent his resignation letter to Mohan de Silva, the Hon. Secretary and copies were marked to the Secretary, Ministry of Sports, Director General of Sports, and the President, Sri Lanka Cricket. 

"This is to inform you that I am resigning from the post of Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket with immediate effect", his letter (seen by this Reporter) submitted on Wednesday morning, reads. 

"I was "not comfortable" working with the present Ex-Co members and therefore have resigned", speaking exclusively over telephone from Colombo, he said minutes after tendering the resignation. 

Mathivanan was not attending the SLC meetings, it is learnt here. 

"No, I will not give up coming back. I have been serving the game for so many years and will contest the next elections early next year", he asserted.
