India lost the ODI series against the visiting squad of Australia by 3-2 in a rather unexpected and disappointing manner that too in home conditions. The Virat Kohli-led team had a positive start after winning two ODIs played in Hyderabad and Nagpur, however lost their lead in the next three ODIs. Australia even shook all the Indian preparations for the World Cup 2019 and the all those people who considered India to be all prepared for the World Cup title this year had to reconsider their statements. However, the bowler, Kuldeep Yadav believes differently saying that both the teams have the capability of shinning in the mega event commencing from May 30.
I think all the teams are strong says Yadav
India will be going into the World Cup with a good combination of the spin department consisting of Kuldeep Yadav also. However, the chinaman bowler, Yadav believes that all the teams are very strong and winning the title will result in a top-notch battle between the same. The World Cup is all ready to begin its extravaganza from May 30 in England and Wales. The opening match will be played between England and South Africa whereas India will ply their trades in the World Cup from June 5.
A probable part of the 15-member squad touring to England and Wales, Kuldeep believes that India has the capability of winning the trophy this year, however, the team should be aware of the fact that England and Pakistan are two teams that can hamper their ideas. Talking about that, Yadav further added that playing in the home conditions will be an added advantage for England.
We need to develop a strong team like the opponents says Yadav
Yadav said that India has the chance of bringing the World Cup home however; they need to develop the team into a strong contender for the same. He further said that England has a strong batting lineup and since the team will be playing in their home conditions, they will have an added advantage for it.
“We definitely have the chance to bring the World Cup home. Apart from us, I think all the other teams are really strong,” Kuldeep quoted. “But I feel England has a strong batting line-up as compared to the other teams. They will be playing in home conditions. I think Pakistan will also perform well in the World Cup looking at the way they have been performing,” the 24-year-old opined. So, I think England and Pakistan will be the ones to watch out for,” he added further.
