My dream is to get into Bangladesh World Cup squad: Mosaddek Hossain

Cricketers take huge pride while playing for their respective teams in the biggest cricketing tournament, the 50-overs World Cup. There have been many such players in the past who are rated as one of the greatest cricketers of all-time, but they haven’t been part of any World Cup squad. With the 2019 World Cup to be contested in England and Wales just around the corner; all the teams have started to finalize their respective 15-member squad for the upcoming mega event.

My job is to focus on my performance

During a recent conversation with the media reporters, Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain revealed that for him the ultimate satisfaction will come when his dream of getting selected in the World Cup squad will come true.  He mentioned that his current job is to focus on his performance and he is concentrating on the same.

"When someone keeps performing, he feels satisfied but the main satisfaction will come when my dream will come true, which is get into the WC squad. Hopefully my dream will come true. Now my job is to focus on my performance and I'm doing that," quoted Mosaddek Hossain.

It is inspiring to hear that

The spin bowling all-rounder has so far played 24 ODIs in which he has scored 341 runs at a decent average of 31 and has scalped 11 wickets including career best figures of 3 for 13. He stated that it is inspiring to hear that his name is being discussed in the World Cup scheme of things.

"It is inspiring. But first, the team has to be announced, till then I have to keep on performing. I don't know what's going to happen. But it is inspiring, they are keeping eye on me," he added.

Mosaddek noted that he has had some success and failures while playing as a finisher. He also mentioned that he is working on improving his finishing exploits in the premier league matches. "I played as a finisher from every match I played at the international level. I got some success and some failure as well. I know my job is to finish the game and I'm working on my finishing ability in the premier league," the Bangladeshi all-rounder concluded.
