IPL 2019, Match 19- SRH Vs MI, Preview: Another Run-Riot Awaits In Hyderabad

In the second game of the fascinating Super Saturday IPL double-header, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be locking horns with the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both the teams are coming into this game after registering comprehensive victories in their respective previous matches. The Sunrisers are placed at the top position on the points tally, while the Rohit Sharma-led team holds the sixth spot on the charts.

The hosts do not have much of concerns as the openers have been on a roll this season, together amassing a fabulous total of 477 runs from four games. However, the SRH team management would be a little bit concerned about the regular middle-order struggles. The likes of Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Deepak Hooda have so far failed to make an impact and they will be thriving to get back in form.

The biggest relief for the SRH thinktank as well as the Indian team will be Bhuvneshwar Kumar's form with the ball. The stand-in skipper returned with excellent figures of 2 for 27 in the previous game. The rest of the fast bowlers as well as the spinners have also done a great job in the season thus far.

On the other hand, the visiting Mumbai team will definitely be high on confidence after breaking Chennai Super Kings' unbeaten streak in the previous encounter. However, much like the opposition, the MI camp also has some definite chinks in its batting line-up. MI skipper Rohit Sharma is yet to fire with a standout performance at his likeable opening slot. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Yuvraj Singh and Quinton de Kock have failed to achieve some sort of consistency.

Whereas, the bowlers have continued to put forward an impressive performance in each match. Both the spinners and the fast bowlers have been right up on their feet, and then may it be the experienced likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga or the debutant Jason Behrendorff in the previous match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s likely Playing XI

The home team will most probably field an unchanged team in this game as well. This means that the in-form duo of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner will once again entertain the home crowd at the top of the order. There is still no clarity on regular SRH skipper Kane Williamson’s fitness status and thus, Bhuvneshwar is expected to once again lead the team in the New Zealander’s absence. Vijay Shankar will come in at the crucial number three position with the likes of Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Deepak Hooda to follow.

Mohammad Nabi’s inclusion has proved to be a masterstroke decision as the spin bowling all-rounder has performed amazingly well in both the games. He will accompany his Afghanistan teammate, Rashid Khan in the spin bowling department. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and Siddarth Kaul will once again be the three fast bowlers.

Probable XI: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (c), Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma.

Mumbai Indians’ likely Playing XI

The duo comprising of skipper Rohit Sharma and wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock will once again take the guard as the openers. Suryakumar Yadav will be taking a lot of confidence from his significant half-century knock in the previous game. He will head the middle-order which will also include the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Krunal Pandya. The belligerent pair of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard will once again have the job of playing a massive role in finishing the innings strongly.

The visiting team dealt with a huge blow recently as their premier overseas fast bowler Lasith Malinga had to leave the tournament midway in order to participate in a domestic competition in Sri Lanka. There is still no clear update on his return and he will be replaced by Mitchell McClenaghan. The Kiwi left-arm seamer will partner with Jasprit Bumrah, Jason Behrendorff and Hardik Pandya in the fast bowling department, while Krunal and Mayank will be the two spinners.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jason Behrendorff, Jasprit Bumrah.
