Navdeep Saini Will Have A Massive Future For India Says Dominic Cork

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) may have just managed to grab the wooden spoon in the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but speedster Navdeep Saini has surely impressed everyone with his raw pace. The right-arm fast bowler has claimed a total of 13 wickets from 13 games played in the tournament at an average of 36.09. He finished as second most successful bowler for the franchisee after Yuzvendra Chahal.

Saini also performed really well in the last domestic seasons in India. His ability to clock a staggering pace of 150kmph on consistent basis also made him earn a dream call-up as a back-up in the Indian team for the upcoming 2019 World Cup. The uncapped Delhi pacer is the only speedster amongst the standby players with the others being the batsmen duo comprising of Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu.

During a recent conversation, former England cricketer Dominic Cork heaped praises on Navdeep Saini and reckoned the speedster will have a massive future for India. Cork mentioned that when Saini is bowling, the deliveries seem to be going very much rapidly.

“For me, when you look at Navdeep Saini, I think India will have a massive future with. If we actually clip on him here and we play. We need to see the deliveries with his pegs,” quoted Dominic Cork.

He is already very successful

The former English medium-pacer further stated that Saini and the other young bowlers need to know about the importance of the head position. Cork mentioned that when Saini is bowling, it looks like he is going to fall away and thus, he needs to put his weight forward. He also noted that with such great abilities and skills, Saini is someone who is already very successful in the game.

“The one thing I want to tell these young bowlers is that it’s about the head position. He (Saini) can be a little taller. It looks like he is just going to fall away so he might put his weight forward. So that is Saini, someone who is already very successful in this game,” Cork added.
