Veerans Aim To Wipe Off Dragons Winning Streak

Ravichandran Ashwin and his men have had a terrific tournament thus far. The Dragons are yet to be beaten and have won five games in a row. While they wouldn’t mind making this a double hattrick, a victory is really essential for the VB Kanchi Veerans.

Along with three wins in five games, this team is just about hanging around in the top-four. Looking at the NRR, there might not seem to be a real threat to their knockout place. However, the team will need to register at least one win in the next two games to be in a safe position. If they manage to win their next two matches, they might even have an outside chance of making it into the top-two.

Dindigul Dragons likely Playing XI

Dindigul Dragons recalled Mohan Abhinav in place of H Trilok Nag last time out, in only their second change to their starting XI of this tournament. The Dragons have favoured consistency and, though they are well placed, they are likely to continue in that vein as they look to build momentum for the play-offs.

Probable XI: Hari Nishanth, Narayan Jagadeesan (wk), Rajendran Vivek, NS Chaturved, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Sumant Jain, Mohan Abhinav, M Mohammed, Ramalingam Rohit, M Silambarasan, Jagannathan Kaushik.

VB Kanchi Veerans likely Playing XI

With S Siddharth missing last time out, Deeban Lingesh opened the batting but struggled as he hit one from ten balls. Siddharth will surely return in his place, rejoining an otherwise unchanged team, if termed fit.

Probable XI: K Vishal Vaidhya, S Siddharth, Baba Aparajith, R Sanjay Yadav, Rajagopal Sathish, Suresh Lokeshwar, P Francis Rokins, NS Harish, R Silambarasan, Rangaraj Suthesh, Kannan Gowtham Thamarai.
