India are currently focussing on finding out the best possible combination for next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia. After the disappointing loss in the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales, India would be desperate to win an ICC title. Team India has not won a single ICC tournament since the 2013 Champions Trophy.
The youngsters are being given opportunities to show their potential at the biggest stage. According to reports, two new faces in Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube could be selected in the Indian team for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Recently, Samson scored a brilliant double hundred in the ongoing edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Since MS Dhoni will not be available for the Bangladesh T20Is, Samson could be in line for his long time due selection. He has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit. However, it will be interesting to see whether both Samson and Rishabh Pant find place in the Indian T20I side. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya recently got ruled out for four months due to a back injury, which could mean that Shivam Dube could earn his maiden call-up to the Indian side.
