The trade window of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be closing down today (November 14) and thus, the franchises are currently busy in working out the best possible deals that will work to their benefit in the upcoming season. Earlier in the day, many big IPL trades took place as left-arm pacer Trent Boult who played for Delhi Capital in the last season, has been traded to Mumbai Indians (MI). Kings XI Punjab’s Ankit Rajpoot has also joined Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2020.
In the other latest trades, Rajasthan Royals’ Krishnappa Gowtham will be playing for Kings XI Punjab in next year’s IPL season, while Ravichandran Ashwin has been traded to Delhi Capitals. In the exchange of Ashwin, Jagadeesha Suchith has moved to Kings XI Punjab. In the recent development, reports are emerging that Ajinkya Rahane might be traded to Delhi Capitals.
Rahane has been a consistent performer over the years in the IPL scoring an impressive tally of 3,820 runs from 140 games at an average of 32.93. With Rahane moving to Delhi Capitals, their batting line-up which includes the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant will further get strengthened.
