After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Bangla Tigers got off to a horrendous start losing the wicket of their opening batsman Rilee Rossouw in the very first over. The pair of Andre Fletcher and Colin Ingram also got out pretty soon leaving Bangla Tigers at 25 for 3. The Maratha Arabians’ bowlers kept a constant check on the opposition batters and never allowed them dominate the game.
Tom Moores was playing in complete control while the rest of the batters struggled to get going. Moores remained unbeaten till the end at 43 runs off 26 balls that included six boundaries as Bangla Tigers finished with a competitive total of 106 for 7 in their quota of 10 overs. For the Maratha Arabians, Kasun Rajitha and Dwayne Bravo took two wickets each.
While chasing a streaky target of 107 runs, the Maratha Arabians got off to a disappointing start losing the key wicket of the in-form Chris Lynn with just 30 runs on the scoreboard. The duo comprising of Adam Lyth and Chadwick Walton also got dismissed very soon leaving the Maratha Arabians in a trouble. The pair of Yuvraj Singh and Najibullah Zadran then got together to guide their team further in the run-chase.
Both the batters played in an aggressive mode as Najibullah was looking in a dominant touch. He smashed a power-packed cameo of 36 runs off just 15 balls as Maratha Arabians chased the target with 9 balls to spare. Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten at 23 runs off 12 balls that included two sixes.
