The newly appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly gained a lot of credit for the successful organization of India’s first-ever day-night Test match. Virat Kohli-led Indian team came up with an amazing performance in the pink ball Test match as they defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs. Ganguly’s initiative was applauded by everyone in the cricketing world.
In the recent development, Ganguly has announced that the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad which will be ready next year will be hosting an exhibition fixture between Asia XI and World XI. The big cricket stadium that is built at cost of 700 crores INR is the largest stadium in the world in accordance to its massive capacity of 1.10 lakh. The Asia XI vs World XI encounter will be its inaugural match.
“The game between Asia XI and World XI will be subjected to ICC’s approval,” quoted Sourav Ganguly.
